Tiferet Torah offers a highly academic learning program presenting Torah classes in a uniquely warm and non judgmental atmosphere. It's cadre of world class teachers have crafted a highly successful curriculum that cultivates independent learning skills, paving the way for them to engage in independent study. Our 'open minded' approach allows students to develop their individuality and unique talents without compromising our sacred Torah values.

A highlight of Tiferet Torah's learning program is the ability for students to get college credits for their Torah studies while joining Fairleigh Dickinson or other Universities for evening classes in business, pre med, LSATS or other careers. The mission of our school is to prepare students for a life time of Torah commitment while maintaining a loyal and balanced leadership role in their respective communities 'Sephardic Heritage' hosts an exciting array of programs for our high schools exposing students to a strong Torah learning environment with a commitment to Sephardic Torah and tradition. Our weekend and ten day programs educate student groups from our communities across the globe to the beauty of learning and living Torah while experiencing the vibrancy and excitement of Jewish communal life in New York. This past year students from Sao Paulo, Mexico, Paris, Montreal and Los Angeles, joined Sephardic Heritage's exciting two week programs for an enriching and unforgettable experience. Our Shabbatonim also unite students and young professionals from communities in the Tri State area.

The programs uniquely warm method of imparting Torah has had a profound impact on its participants, inculcating within them a deeper appreciation of our unique heritage and traditions. Many have also continued to advance in their Torah studies by enrolling in Tiferet Torah's year round Yeshiva study program.

Rabbi Nissan Hakakian Rosh Hayeshiva Yeshivat Tiferet Torah Rabbi Nissan Hakakian originates from Shiraz, Iran where he was forced to escape from the oppressive Khomeini regime at a young age. He attended Yeshivat Beth Moshe of Scranton, P.A., where years later he was honored with the "Keter Shem Tov" award. At Yeshivat Porat Yoseph he received rabbinical Semiha & Shehita from Harav Massas zt"l, while learning under the tutelage of Hacham Salom Cohen Shlit"a. He continued his journey in the Mirrer Brooklyn and was ordained Rabbinical Leader under R. Shmuel Birnbaum zt"l & R. Kalmonowitz zt"l. Shortly after Rabbi Hakakian obtained his masters in school psychology and was involved in Chinuch for over 14 years, creating p'tach workboooks to aid students across the globe. He currently resides in Monsey, N.Y. and is spiritual leader of Sephardic Cong. of South Monsey. Rabbi Hakakian has successfully launched Yeshivat Tiferet Torah, an exclusive sephardic institution. Which for the first time ever has given many sephardic students across the globe an opportunity to explore and learn about their rich sephardic heritage. He creates a warm friendly environment and a lasting bond with all that come his way.

Rabbi Chaim Schabes Rabbi/Lecturer Born in Mexico, Rabbi Schabes is living proof of how Torah and Judaism has flourished from the region. His Torah studies have taken him around the world from Long Beach Yeshiva, to Yeshivat Ponovich where he learnt under Harav Shach & Harav Shmuel Rozovsky. Afterwards R. Schabes studied in Beth Medrash Gavoha of Lakewood N.J. under the leadership of Harav Shmuel Kotler zt"l. His duties returned him to his homeland of Mexico where he served as Rosh Kollel of Mexico for 8 years. He now resides in Monsey, N.Y. and is spiritual leader of Cong. Knesset Yisrael. Rabbi Schabes' true understanding in Torah & Yirat Shamayim is something that each student in Tiferet Torah can admire.
